Hello, people!
I`m back!
Yeah. Back from the (silly) promises I kept about posting more on this blog.
Anyway, I just felt like telling you guys how AWESOME this week is, because SCHOOL HAS FREAKING STARTED.
Ugh.
I just want to go back to my daily routine of watching movies and reading books and eating and sleeping(and everything in between)!
Yep. That's my life.
Also, I`m here finally blogging again because I finished reading the amazing ABANDON!!!!!
Meg Cabot, you are a genius.
I`m not talking about just a genius. Oh, no.
I`M TALKING ABOUT FULL TIME, (writing)MAGIC GENIUS. (If that even makes any sense.)
All right, back to the point:
The Myth of Persephone, Darkly Reimagined
— Book One: Abandon —

That's how she met John Hayden, the mysterious stranger who's made returning to normal life—or at least life as Pierce knew it before the accident—next to impossible.
Though she thought she escaped him—starting a new school in a whole new place—it turns out she was wrong. He finds her.
What does John want from her? Pierce thinks she knows... just like she knows he's no guardian angel, and his dark world isn't exactly heaven. But she can't stay away from him, either, especially since he's always there when she least expects it, but exactly when she needs him most.
But if she lets herself fall any further, she might find herself back in the place she fears the most.
And when Pierce discovers the shocking truth, that’s exactly where John sweeps her:
The Underworld.
Pierce, the main character in the book, has just moved to Isla Huesos, the island of bones, also known to be situated right on top of the Underworld,(at least one of them, because this book says there are lots of Underworlds within the whole of United States itself) after an accident that happened back in Connecticut.She's an NDE, someone who's had a near-death experience, and she doesn't do very well in school.
Oh, Pierce, I can totally relate to that, like, what's with the grade thing to determine your intellectuality? We all have problems, and sometimes it's better when school doesn't make things worse.
That's why she's in her new school's special program, called New Pathways, for people who are under the D-wing section in their school. This is weird to me, because Pierce seems way smarter than some of the characters in A-wing. Which is, ahem, problably all of them. Just because she's died and come back alive, and tends to slightly disengage in classes, she has to be in D-wing? What's up with that?
John Hayden is so sweet in this mysterious sort of way, which is HOT.
I mean, who doesn't like a guy that appears suddenly whenever something corrupted happens, and then dissapears afterwards without even crediting for anything?
I don't know for you, but I do.
Meg Cabot started having ideas of Abandon when she was in high school drawing the sketches of the myth of persephone during Algebra! And she says in an interview that she didn't have really good grades back in high school(which inspired Pierce), but now, just look at her! She's a NEW YORK BESTSELLER! Wait, INTERNATIONAL. I stay in Singapore, and I`m a ridiculously huge, huge fan of hers.
This makes me feel better, because I, myself, do not have straight As or anything pretty much close to it. And seeing how far she made from high school, it just makes me want to fulfil my dreams, too!
Oh, Meg! You are my idol.
So GO AND GET YOURSELF THIS BOOK. Because I promise: you will not regret it!
